Sip on some cocktails and celebrate the start of summer at the first-ever Canada Craft Spirits Festival in Kelowna this Saturday.
The festival, hosted by the Canadian Craft Spirits Association, will showcase award-winning craft spirits from across Canada as well as feature cider, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, food and music at the Rotary Centre for the Arts.
During the first event session from 12 to 3 pm, there will be a Gin, Cakes and Cocktails Garden Party in partnership with Mamas for Mamas.
It will be an opportunity to pair gin cocktails with baked delights and stroll through the art walk while listening to live music.
For the second session from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, distillers will share their collection of popular and unique spirits and stories with attendees at the Main Tasting Festival.
From whisky to vodka and rum to liqueurs, this session offers a chance to learn about the production process, meet the talented artisans behind the brands and find a new favourite cocktail.
Up to 500 people are expected to attend each of the two sessions at the inaugural event on June 24.
Some of the vendors will include Forbidden Spirits, Misguided Spirits, Urban Distillery, Sons of Vancouver, The Woods, Elder Brothers, Tumbleweed, BNA, Wards Cider and The View Winery, MotherLove, Two Brothers, Elk Island, Ugava, Valley of the Mother of God, Give them Brie, Tak-oh, Dockside Marine, Dream Auto, Kakes by Kathy, Karat, Neon Coffee, and CCSA.
Tickets are $35 for each event session and include admission and two drink tickets. A portion of the proceeds will go towards Mamas for Mamas.
Additional tastes will be available for an extra cost.
