Methodical Coffee has opened its new expansion at its location at The Commons, which has added more space to the kitchen and provided more seating for customers with a separate, quiet area in the back of the dining space.
Marco Suarez, co-owner of Methodical Coffee, said in an email with the Journal that the new expansion, which took over Methodical’s former roasting area, was aimed at offering more dining options to customers.
After outgrowing its roasting production space at The Commons, Methodical Coffee decided to move its production to a new location in January 2023, Suarez said.
“So with that project complete, we then turned to figuring out what to do with our old roasting space at the Commons,” he said. “Being that The Commons is a busy food hall, it can be difficult to find a quiet table for a private conversation so we designed our seating area to provide some nooks for those that want something quiet.”
The expanded kitchen will also allow customers to observe the preparation of the pastries and breakfast items at Methodical. An expanded food menu is also in the works.
“Our desire is for Methodical to be known for well-prepared pastries and breakfast fare as well as coffee and tea,” Suarez said.
