A warrant has been issued for the arrest of former Smoooth Juice manager Brett Paul after he failed to make a court date last month.
Rockhampton Courthouse confirmed Mr Paul was due to appear in court on 7 June on charges including possessing a dangerous drug, possessing property suspected in a drug offence and common assault but failed to appear.
The charges are unrelated to the collapse of the Smoooth Juice businesses.
Rockhampton’s two Smoooth Juice stores went into liquidation earlier this year, with hundreds of thousands of dollars still owed to creditors.
The smoothie and juice bar first opened at 379 Yaamba Road, North Rockhampton in October 2020, with a southside store opening on the corner of George and Cambridge streets in July last year.
On Sunday, 12 March this year, the southside store was destroyed by fire, with the northside store shutting its doors the following month.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said as of this week the cause of the fire was still being investigated.
