In a remarkable and somewhat perplexing revelation, Gholamreza Ardeshiri, hailing from Iran, has claimed that he has consumed nothing but fizzy drinks for the past 17 years, altogether forgoing solid food.
Ardeshiri, a middle-aged man who allegedly earns a living by repairing fiberglass, has attributed his sustenance solely to carbonated beverages, such as the Pepsi in one of the snapshots.
According to reports, Ardeshiri maintains that he does not experience feelings of hunger.
Whenever he feels fatigued, he relies on carbonated drinks to provide him with the necessary energy boost.
Astonishingly, the Iranian man disclosed to local media that he ceased consuming food in June 2006, marking the beginning of his extraordinary dietary journey that has spanned nearly two decades.
Despite his unconventional eating habits, Ardeshiri’s dedication to his profession has enabled him to support his family financially.
Notably, he managed to provide enough funds to send his daughters to university, emphasizing his commitment and resourcefulness.
This extraordinary tale has captivated many, leaving experts and the public curious about Ardeshiri’s physical well-being and how his body has adapted to such a unique sustenance regime over an extended period.
He said, ” No accident caused the effects, and I was not shocked. I still haven’t found the reason.”
Gholamreza explained how this began. He said,
“I had a strange feeling; I felt like an object like hair was inside my mouth; I felt that the head of this hair was inside my mouth and the end was inside my stomach; no matter what I did, it was impossible to remove this hair.
“It was like the hair was tugging in my throat, and I felt like I was suffocating; it was so tight that I didn’t know what to do. I can’t really describe it, but it felt crazy.”
Gholamreza said that he went to the doctor the following day, “Everyone recommended a different doctor, and the doctors, who could not diagnose my illness, then referred me to their colleagues.
“I was either in the doctor’s office or the hospital from morning to night, but no one could diagnose my illness. There was no hair in my mouth, but the feeling of it was crazy. I went to every doctor you can think of to get rid of this feeling until a kidney and hematologist said it’s better to go to a psychiatrist, and they introduced me to one.”
Despite seeking assistance from a psychiatrist, Gholamreza Ardeshiri admits that he has yet to unravel the underlying reasons behind his exclusive reliance on fizzy drinks as sustenance.
The Iranian man reveals that his family refrains from eating in his presence due to his severe discomfort and nausea triggered by the sight of food.
Additionally, it has been reported that Ardeshiri maintains a minimal sleep schedule, resting for merely four hours per night. To compensate for his reduced sleep, he reportedly consumes three liters of carbonated beverages daily, which he perceives as a source of energy.
