Laredo updated the current boil water notice for parts of the city on Saturday.
On Thursday, the city announced a boil water notice impacting part of the city. This was due to low distribution pressure on IH-359 between Oil Patch Road and Pueblo Nuevo caused by a break to a major 12-inch line. The break caused loss of water tank levels in the area.
The areas affected by the boil water notice are from “Royal Oaks Subdivision north of SH 359 and Las Misiones Subdivision south of SH 359 to the east to Pueblo Nuevo on SH 359 on the north and south sides.”

Tests are also being run around the city in numerous areas in conjunction with TCEQ rules to try to detect contamination.
The city said that “the boil water notice will be lifted as soon as we get the results back and are clear.
“The City of Laredo wants to thank the community for their cooperation in conserving water. These efforts helped speed up the process in filling up the Las Blancas tank that services the affected area.”
