REPUBLICAN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: The Randolph County Republican Executive Committee will meet today at 5:30 p.m. at the Pizza Hut. All interested citizens are invited to attend.
HOT DOG SALE AND CAKEWALK: The: George D. Broschart Memorial Scholarship cakewalk and hot dog sale will be Friday at 6 p.m. at the Coalton Volunteer Fire Department. There will be a 50/50 drawing and raffle.
CHICKEN BARBECUE: The Lions Club of Elkins will have a Chicken Barbecue on Saturday at the parking lot of Citizen’s Bank of West Virginia, corner of Third Street and Kerens Avenue. The meal will include half a chicken, two side items, roll, dessert and bottled water. The meals will be ready for drive-thru and walk-up pickup by 10:30 a.m..
SPECIAL BINGO NIGHT: The Harman Volunteer Fire Department will host a special bingo night Saturday. Doors open at 5 p.m. and bingo begins at 7 p.m.
SCAVENGER HUNT: Our Town will host a patriotic scavenger hunt on Saturday from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Mall Seneca Atrium. A story will be read to all children accompanied by an adult at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., noon, 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.. Children and the adults with them will receive a scavenger hunt bag and a list of clues to follow leading them to businesses around town. Children will receive a booklet page to g containing a symbol of American plus a treat. Once each business has been visited, children will return to the Atrium to assemble and color their books. This activity is most appropriate for preschoolers and elementary age children. Questions may be directed to an Our Town volunteer at 304-636-0415.
