Back to the Beer
Celebrating its return, the festival’s theme this year is Back to the Beer, on the Pier. The festival is encouraging attendees to dress up in their best 80s outfits; there will be tons of photo opportunities throughout, including a DeLorean, 80s themed cardboard cutouts and more.
The festival features an impressive selection of craft beers with over 100 different samples from classic IPAs to unique experimental brews. The event also features food vendors and live music performances from local artists.
This year’s sponsors include SD Loyal, Kaleo Marketing and Event.com. Not only is this a fun way to discover new beers and breweries, but it also supports a great cause, as all proceeds from the event support cancer research and patient care programs in the San Diego area.
“Everyone knows someone affected by cancer and at SDPAC we are dedicated to making a significant contribution to people with cancer, their families and the fight in the prevention of the disease,” said Carri Chandler, President at San Diego Professionals Against Cancer.
“What better way to raise money for a good cause than gathering with friends, drinking craft beer, listening to music and eating delicious food all on the beautiful waterfront in San Diego? We’re so proud of what we’ve created and are grateful to all of the volunteers, sponsors and vendors involved.”
About The San Diego Festival of Beer
The San Diego Festival of Beer is San Diego Professionals Against Cancer’s (SDPAC) flagship event that has been held annually since 1994. San Diego Professionals Against Cancer is an 100% volunteer-run non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, resources, and support to individuals and families affected by cancer.
Since its inception, SDPAC has gifted more than $740,000 to local San Diego organizations like Rady’s Children’s Hospital, Oncology and Kids, and Cancer Angels. These funds go directly to support cancer research, patient care, and education programs here in San Diego.
SDPAC’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer has made a significant impact on the community, and they continue to work tirelessly to support this important cause.
See you there, San Diego!
