Ginette “Ginny” Kay Beer, 73, of Decatur passed away peacefully at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne. Her parents were Donald G. and Lena B. (Morand) Moore of Berne. She was married to Larry Beer.
A 1967 graduate of South Adams High School in Berne, she held a number of positions during her working career including 20 years as product representative for Puffer-Sweiven Industrial Controls in Houston, Texas, retiring in 2005.
Her interests and hobbies included breeding and training dogs, volunteer church work (United Methodist) and travel. Her friends remember her fondly as a fun and interesting person to be around.
She is survived by her husband; son, Michael Shoemaker; daughter, Nichole Gonzalez; brother, John Moore; and two grandsons, Schane Gardner; and Brian Gardner, both of the greater Houston, Texas area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Joseph “Joe” Moore.
A memorial event will be scheduled at a later time.
